HOW TO HELP THE EARTH BY THE LORAX by Tish Rabe-Earth Day Book - Childre...

Please Note

Upcoming Assembly Information

Ms. Rothe sent home scripts today for students to practice with their parents in preparation for our upcoming assemblies on April 24th and 25th. Ms. Phillips will be sending home short scripts and lines to learn this coming Monday.  Please spend some time rehearsing the scripts and lines with your children on a regular basis.

AM students attend school tomorrow.

Please return the library books that students are finished reading so they can take out new ones on Monday.  Students that have 3 books out can choose and read a book during library times but can't exceed three books.  They need to return at least one before they can take any more books out.

We're back to winter boots and jackets!  Not for long, spring returns this weekend!

Reminders

AM students only attend school this Friday, April 12th!

Students are watching videos and brainstorming words for the th digraph.  Number words are a big hit as students brainstorm words that include the th at the beginning and end of words.
Further word finding when reading at home is a great way to practice the th blend.

April 25th is Spirit Day and teachers and students will move their teaching and learning outside for some time spent learning on the land.  Another day will be scheduled if the weather isn't cooperating.

Ask your students what our worms are up to as our daily learning and care taking of the worms continues to engage students in our inquiry on taking care of the earth!  Lots of opportunities for literacy, science, environmental studies, art and math activities inspired by our classroom pets.
